We are looking for a bioinformatician to join our team in Durham, North Carolina!

Qualifications & Preferred Experience

Education 

  • Masters-level degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or related field with at least three years of relevant work experience; OR Doctorate-level degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics or related field with at least two years of relevant work experience in industry or governmental agencies

Required 

  • Experience with synthesizing statistical analysis of large data sets
  • Ability to translate data findings into technical reports and business implications for cross-functional use across the organization
  • Experience with principal component analysis and multivariate statistics
  • Demonstrated ability to design experiments to define thresholds and achieve statistical power
  • Knowledge of JMP, Minitab, Tableau, and R Statistical software
  • Experience with observation, survival, longitudinal, categorical, and generalized linear models
  • Experience preparing comprehensive statistical reports to communicate findings with investigators
  • Experience with data mining and retrospective analysis
  • Must enjoy investigating details and figuring out the solutions to problems 

Preferred 

  • Biochemistry background is a plus
  • Background knowledge of nutrition, regulatory studies, and data visualization
  • Experience with multi-omic analysis of complex macromolecular mixtures
  • Experience with other statistical packages is a plus (e.g., R, Stata, PASS, NQuery, S-Plus, Python, etc.)
